Bringing more than 13 years of experience to the Reading List, Lindsey began her career as an acquisitions editor at HarperCollins. Since then, she’s worked with almost every major trade publisher, numerous university and small presses, authors across all genres, and businesses large and small. She received her MFA in Fiction from the New School University, and there’s always a book on her reading list.
Salvatore Borriello
Editorial Manager
As a student of Greek and Latin classics, Sal developed a love affair with language that pairs well with his attention to detail. An avid editor, he trained with the University of Chicago's Graham School and the Editorial Freelancers Association, and his clients include both well-known publishers and independent authors. As our editorial manager, he runs a tight ship at the Reading List, making sure that projects proceed smoothly.
Emily Matchar
Emily is the author of Homeward Bound (S&S), which received great reviews and widespread coverage. Her writing has appeared in the New York Times, the Atlantic, the Washington Post, Smithsonian, and elsewhere. She received her BA from Harvard.
Theresa Dowell Blackinton
A former in-house editor at the Smithsonian, Theresa’s editing interests range from health and science, to travel and outdoors, to history and fiction. An avid explorer, she is the author of multiple travel and hiking guides. She’s a recipient of the Thomas Wolfe Fiction prize, and her fiction has recently appeared in The Iowa Review.
